Time of Our Lives was founded by Dympna le Rasle in Walthamstow in 1991 to perform Old Time Music Hall for older people in East London.  They now tour the length and breadth of the country for 6 months of the year performing their own brand of Retro’ Revue in theatres, arts centres and village halls.  However they have not deserted the older audiences who got them going and continue to take subsidised shows to the places older people live and socialise.

In 1995 for the 50th Anniversary of peace Keith Myers was commissioned to create and direct “Smiling Through on the Home Front” the first of his Retro’ Revues for which the company is now famous. This was followed by “Two for the 1/9s” a celebration of 100 years of Cinema, then  “Playing the Halls”, about variety performers in 1940’s. “Millennium Memories”. “You’ve Never Had It So Good” remembering VE Day to the Common Market and in the Queen’s Golden Jubilee year “England Swings” a celebration of the years from Festival of Britain to the Silver Jubilee.

The next production was “The Best of Times and The Worst of Times", Austerity to Yuppies tracing the social and economic changes from the rationing of 1950 to “loadsamoney” in 1980s.  This was followed by "Radio Days & TV Times" remembering ITMA to Dynasty.  In 2004/05  they revived Two for the 1/9ds and 2006/07 toured the hugely successful  “All the World’s A Stage”, a celebration of British Theatre from Medieval Mummers to 21st Century Rock Tributes.  The new show “Cool Britannia” is available from November 2007 to May 2008.  It consists of their usual hilarious mix of popular music, dance, stand up comedy and sketches.
